This privacy policy applies to emiratessetup.ae, emiratessetup.de and the related landing pages.
We are based in the UAE and process your data in accordance with the UAE data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data). Where we address people in the European Union or the European Economic Area, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The articles referred to in this policy are those of the GDPR.
When you visit our websites, the web server automatically processes the following data in so-called log files:
The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in technical security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is stored in personally identifiable form only for as long as necessary for this purpose; after that, the IP address and host name are anonymised or deleted.
If you send us an enquiry via a form, our enquiry quiz or the cost calculator, we process the data you provide there. This includes in particular your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, details of your plans (e.g. business activity, number of shareholders and visas, preferred timing, chosen package) and your message. If you choose a package after the prices are shown, this choice is also sent to us.
We use this data to answer your enquiry, send you a quote and advise you on it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing the data is voluntary, but without it we cannot process your enquiry.
The quote as a PDF is generated directly in your browser and is not transmitted to us in the process. To convert prices into other currencies, your browser retrieves current exchange rates from the Frankfurter service (api.frankfurter.app); for technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to this service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing up-to-date prices (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed, and no later than 24 months after our last contact.
If you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or Telegram, we process your contact details and the content of your message in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited or Meta, Telegram by Telegram Messenger Inc. or the respective Telegram companies. These providers process data independently under their own privacy policies, including outside the EU. Where possible, please do not send us sensitive documents such as passport copies via messenger apps, but through the channel we agree with you.
To book calls, we use the scheduling service Koalendar (koalendar.com). If you book an appointment, the data you enter there (e.g. name, email, phone number, preferred time) is processed by Koalendar and passed on to us. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) to send you information about company setup, taxes and life in the UAE, as well as about our services. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing us.
We use technically necessary cookies so that the website works (e.g. for forms). We only use the other services in this section if you have consented via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable national rules on cookies). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google Tag Manager to integrate the other services. Google Analytics helps us understand how our website is used. With Google Ads we measure whether an enquiry came from one of our ads (conversion tracking) and can show relevant ads to visitors of our website (remarketing). Cookies or similar technologies are used for this, and usage data such as a shortened IP address, device and browser information and the pages visited is processed.
The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. With the Meta Pixel we measure the success of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and can show relevant ads there to visitors of our website.
Google and Meta also transfer data to the USA. Both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply in addition. For more information, please see the privacy policies of Google and Meta.
We embed content from third-party providers on our pages. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing and functioning presentation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), unless consent is obtained via the cookie banner.
We only share your data where this is necessary for the respective purpose or where you have consented:
We do not sell your data.
As we are based in the UAE, your data is processed in the UAE. There is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for the UAE. The transfer is necessary so that we can process your enquiry and carry out your engagement (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). For transfers to the USA, see section 7.
We only store your data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Data from an engagement is retained for as long as statutory retention obligations apply, in particular under commercial and tax law. Data we process on the basis of your consent is deleted after you withdraw it, unless a retention obligation applies.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest on grounds relating to your particular situation, and you can object to the use of your data for direct marketing at any time.
Simply write to us at [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the EU, this is in particular the authority in your country of residence, for example the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at) in Austria or the data protection authority of your federal state in Germany. In the UAE, the UAE Data Office is responsible.
Our websites are encrypted throughout via SSL/TLS. We protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access with technical and organisational measures.
We update this privacy policy when our website, our services or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
